Russ Decker is going to reintroduce Healthy Wisconsin this year.  State Senator Jon Erpenbach is re-writing the legislation right now that would make available the same health care coverage that our state legislators currently enjoy. It could also save the state (that has a $5.4 billion short-fall) $1.5 billion.  What's the damn downside?!?

One elected official in this country is refusing federal economic stimulus funding in the middle of the worst economy since the Great Depression.  Q: Who would be so unapologetically insane? A: the GOP's leading candidate for Governor in 2010 & current Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker.  Thank God/Buddha/Krishna/Allah for Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk!!!

Catherine Capallero, the co-creator of Walmartopia, invited us to their latest musical fun, Blasphemy: An Unholy Trinity of Musical Comedies, opening tonight at the Bartell Theatre.

Rob Chappel from the Overture Center explained the story behind story of the State Journal's claim that the Overture Center is for sale for a buck.

John Nichols explained why Madison should be proud of their federal legislators.  Both Tammy Baldwin and Russ Feingold are asking congress & the President-elect to restore the authority of the constitution.

Emily Mills has authored a new book "The Fix Up" & brought us our good news of the day!

Happy New Year from ProLife Wisconsin! They saved over 200 lives last year, all with 2 TV ads.  WOW!

Barack Obama's tax cut proposal is bigger than both of Bush's.  Is this the best way to restore our economy or just the best way to get the GOP to go along?

Mahmoud Abu Rahman from the Al Mezan Center for Human Rights in Gaza City spoke about the plight of his family, abandoning his home, & being surrounded by the Israeli military for four days.

Governor Doyle has floated two different trial balloons to fill the state budget shortfall & they both fall squarely on our shoulders.  When will business pay their fair share & why not close the loopholes that let so many businesses get off scott-free?
